Filippo Strada




Creative Director and Co-Founder of “ITALO STRADA Tailoring Services”, was born in Milan, Italy, where he breath and live contaminated by fashion's charm since he was a child. Used to spend hours at the family’s tailor shop where his grandfather Italo and his father were realizing masterpieces of the milanese tailoring for their personal wardrobe, Filippo soon understand what would have been his future.

The mastery of style, the unconventional but yet simply use of fabrics, materials and colors have always distinguished him, since when, after the art-school, decides to attend the fashion school Istituto Marangoni in Milan.

Since then Filippo has cooperated worldwide with fashion houses and companies bringing his own vision and

Fine Menswear passion into every collection he has designed.

After more then a decade of experience in Italy, where he had the pleasure to work for fashion houses such as Missoni and cooperate with trendsetters casual brands such as La Martina and Blauer, receives in 2009 a unique proposal and decide then to move to Xiamen, China, to lead the style and development of PORTS 1961, imposing immediately himself in the local menswear market.

From 2009 till today Filippo has been the head of Design and Artistic Directions of some of the major exponent of Chinese menswear market such as PORTS 1961, YOUNGOR, MAYOR, JOEONE, A. JESDANI and S.T.DUPONT PARIS.

Beside years of experience in Creative Directions, Design and Tailoring, Filippo is today Fashion Training Coordinator in China for IED, Istituto Europeo di Design, role that brings-on with great honor and passion in order to promote the “Italianness” in Asia as well as to share his deep experience and knowledge about the Italian style, design and techniques with the local emerging fashion talents.

China countrywide responsible for coordination, structure and performance of all corporate and university Fashion training courses of IED.

Design Director and MTM Manager.

In house Design Director responsible of all menswear collections and MTM business.

Responsible of  MTM business, events and VIC, including in-store trunk-shows, private tailor and MTM training.


Business Casual (Xiamen)

Design Director & Knitwear Director.

Responsible for the design and development of main collections.

Responsabile of the whole knitwear and jersey collections for all the labels of the brand, including graphic designs.


Business Casual (Ningbo)

Creative & Design Director.

In house Creative and Design Director responsible to develop Youngor Labels and Fine Menswear label Mayor.

Overall image and branding of the groups were my responsibilities.

Designing the RTW lines with specific focus on Korean, Japanese, Hong-Kong and Chinese market.
